My Mac Eyeshadow Quad/ Favourite Mac Eyeshadows

Hey everybody! Today I thought I'd share with you my MAC eyeshadow quad. After buying several eyeshadows in the standard pot form and loving them I decided I would buy a palette so the eyshadows would be more compact, easier for travel and most importantly cheaper. A single eyeshadow in pot form retails at £13 whereas in pan form it is only £10. I should also mention that the empty palette costs £6.50 however still it works out much cheaper, especially if you go for the bigger palette which fits £15 eyeshadows.
The colours in my palette are what I reach for everyday and in there I have :
  • All that Glitters - a gorgeous champagne colour with lots of shimmer which is perfect for all over the lid for a natural look.
  • Patina - as you can see this is my most loved shade and one I would recommend to everybody. It is so versatile however I mostly wear this colour all over the lid with Satin Taupe in the crease ( I wish there was a fifth spot in my palette because I reach for this colour a lot!)
  • Mulch - a warm brown with flex of gold shimmer.Looks amazing in the crease with All that Glitters and something I wear often for a simple daytime look.
  • Sable- a purpely/ brown shade that is great for autumn/winter however I may swap this with Satin Taupe as I dont get that much wear out of it even though it is a lovely shade especially for people with a paler complexion.
Here are the shadows swatched:

From top to bottom: All that glitters, Patina,Mulch and Sable
The eyeshadows are amazing quality and one of the best products mac sell in my opinion (along with the lipsticks). I am definitely going to invest in the 15 pan palette to keep all my shadows together as my collection grows.
Which are your favourite Mac Eyeshadows?

Review: Zoella Fizz Bar

Today I am going to be reviewing the Zoella Fizz Bar from her new beauty range. As you can probably tell from my previous post I am loving bath time products at the minute, I think its because the weather is getting colder so baths just seem much more cozier and relaxing than showers.
This product did not disappoint and deserves all the hype it is getting. The packaging is gorgeous,so adorable and very Zoe, you can tell it definitely as her stamp on it.

The product itself is very weighty meaning at £5 it is excellent value for money. In my bath I used two squares and this was more than enough to make my bath water smell amazing and fill the room with the lovely fresh scent of the product. I think the scent will appeal to a large number of people as it's very fresh and clean and nothing too overpowering.
I absolutely love this product and I cant wait to try the rest of the stuff in her range.

Review : Jo Malone Bath Oil

Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Bath Oil 30ml
Whilst in Jo Malone with my Mum I fell in love with everything about the store and the products so I decided to find a scent I liked. In there, there is something that appeals to everybody as there is a huge range of scents and you can mix them together too. The one I fell in love with was the English
Pear and Freesia scent so I decided to give the bath oil a try. It is extremely luxurious and a little goes a long way. A 30 ml bottle costs £17 which at first glance seems extremely pricey but I have had my bottle for over two months now and still have some left. After you have got out the bath the whole room is filled with the scent and it is left lingering on your skin which is left super soft. Also it is packaged so beautifully with a black bow around the lid in a signature Jo Malone box with black tissue paper. I will definitely be trying more from Jo Malone and I especially want the English Pear and Freesia perfume as I just love the scent so much.It is a sweet scent but not sickly at all.It is very fresh with floral and fruity notes. If you haven't tried anything from Jo Malone definitely give it a go as there is something for everybody.

My Current Top 3 Lipsticks

Out of all the makeup products there is to buy I think lipstick is by far my favorite and the most exciting purely due to the amount of colors and formulas on offer, however for the last couple of months I have found myself solely rotating between these three (and as you can see from the pictures they are extremely well loved).

From Left to Right:Mac Lovelorn, YSL Peach Passion, Mac Morange
First up is Mac's Lovelorn which is the perfect pink shade with a purple/mauve undertone. It is a lustre finish and applies to the lips extremely well. It has great pigmentation and the vanilla scent of mac lipsticks is to die for. It is my go to pink shade because it's so easy to wear.

Lovelorn
Next is the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in shade 13/Peach Passion, a perfect coral shade. I absolutely adore this lipstick and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't partially to do with the ah-mazing packaging. Its absolutely gorgeous and I'd say every girl has to have one of these lipsticks in their makeup bag purely for how beautiful the packaging is. As for the lipstick, it is extremely buttery but the colour pay off is still there and again the scent is lovely. It is a fruity mango scent but nothing too overpowering.Even though these lipsticks are quite pricey at £25.00 they are definitely worth every penny.
Peach Passion
I love a bold, orange lip. I am definitely a brights girl, I just feel like nude lips don't really suit me, therefore when I came across Mac morange it became my new holy grail. It is an amplified finish so the pigmentation is amazing and very long lasting. Even though the prices of mac lipsticks keep going up (currently at £15.50) I still think they are great value for money and probably my favourite product mac sells.

Stiletto Nails

I was watching the lovely Swalkermakeup 's video on Stiletto Nails recently and absolutely fell in love with them so I decided to follow her video and give them a go myself. I used the exact same kit as she did which was the Elegant Touch totally bare stiletto nails in 003 costing £4.65. The kit had everything you needed to apply the nails which was extremely handy. I decided to paint them a dusky pink colour and here is how they turned out:

They stayed on for about a week and I got lots of compliments on them so I will definitely be experimenting with more Stiletto nails( I especially love the new Henry Holland ones). As for the nail polish, I used one from the Colour Carnival collection by Seventeen which I bought to use with the nails purely because I loved the colour which was called Rose Pink shown below.
The polish retails at £1.99 and I'll be honest I wasn't expecting much regarding staying power, chipping etc. however I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst I was doing my nails my Auntie was at my house and she also fell in love with the colour so she painted her natural nails with it and said that it stayed on perfectly,so much that she went out and bought one herself. I think these nail varnishes are an absolute steal and I will definitely be trying out more as they had a huge colour range and are a total bargain.

Review: Garnier Micellar Water

Micellar waters are becoming a staple skincare product in many peoples regimes and I can totally see why after trying this one. I have yet to try Bioderma but many are saying this is just like it, if not better. I have tried the L'oreal Micellar water though and I enjoy using this one so much more. The L'oreal one felt greasy on my skin and the packaging dispensed far too much product meaning a lot was going to waste.
This one however takes your makeup off nice and quickly, even the most stubborn of mascaras, and leaves your skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean. It can be used as a pre-cleanse or on its own and I think that it is also a great option for someone who is trying to stop using makeup wipes as often as it is an efficient way to take off your makeup but so much better for your skin.
Retailing at £4.99 I think this product is great value for money. The bottle claims you can get 200 uses however it obviously depends on how much make up you wear on a day to day basis. For me, I have had this bottle for around 2 and a half months now and I am only just half way through (and I know my sister has sneakily been using it too) so it definitely lasts a while. This product has quickly become a holy grail item in my skincare routine and I will definitely be repurchasing.
